Exodus 15:26
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

When most people think of healing they think of a miraculous event where broken bones are instantly mended, or someone on the brink of death sits up and resumes their normal life without pause. These events can, and do, happen all of the time!  But normally, the healing process is gradual;  the return to normal activities taking some period of time.  Does that mean that God is not part of the process? Certainly not!  What it does mean is that we are usually not aware of God's intervention on our behalf.

During my time in the hospital my biggest problem was not that I was physically injured.  The greatest injury was that I thought myself discarded of God.  As Jesus spoke on the cross, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? I needed a healing touch but not a physical healing, I needed a spiritual healing.

Many, many times our illnesses, our sicknesses our pain are caused from spiritual needs not from physical needs.  How many times have you seen someone terribly deformed yet bubbling with happiness?  And how many times have you seen, or heard of, someone in the prime of health, yet depressed, contemplating suicide?

The scripture from Acts 10:38 shows we need the healing of our souls, healing from the pain and suffering that our adversary the devil inflicts upon us. Exodus 15:26 still shows us the proper formula for remaining healthy.
