Exodus
17:15-16
And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi: For he said,
Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to
generation.
Nothing is quite as sweet as winning. Overcoming when all around you fail. Something inside of you that drives you on to victory. Many of us don't get that feeling very often. Most of the time we are made to feel like we can't do anything right. The pressures increase and we are tossed to and fro by forces that we cannot control, much less understand. Where do we turn?
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Revelation 17:14
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
We cannot overcome this world. Plain and simple, our adversary is much stronger and wiser and of ourselves we cannot overcome him. But as Revelation 17:14 clearly states, the Lamb will overcome and they that are with him. Enlist in his army and the promise is clear, you will overcome.
